中国质量奖和企业市场价值的关系研究

摘要:质量一直是影响企业竞争优势和财务绩效的重要因素。随着质量奖评选制度的影响逐渐扩大,且被各国广泛引进,不同质量奖对企业市场价值的影响以及不同环境下质量奖对企业市场价值的影响均不明确。本研究主要是估计中国质量奖对企业市场价值的影响。本文根据2013-2017年间可用的55个中国质量奖获奖事件数据,用事件研究法分析获奖公司在获奖公告期间股价是否有异常报酬。结果表明,获得中国质量奖的事件在短期内引起了获奖公司显著为正的股票市场反应。此外,本文还研究了获奖事件的一些子样本类别和长期的效应,研究结果从获奖企业的性质、行业类型、地区经济水平、是否首次获奖、竞争能力五方面,分析了中国质量奖对获奖企业市场价值的影响,为投资者的投资方向提供了参考。

China Quality Awards and the Market Value of Chinese Firms
Abstract:Quality has always been an important factor affecting the competitive advantage and financial performance of firms. With the influence of the quality award selection system expanding and this system being widely introduced by various countries, the impact of different quality awards on the firm\'s market value and the impact of quality awards on the firm\'s market value in different environments are not clear. The main purpose of this study is to estimate the impact of the China Quality Award on the firm\'s market value. Based on the available data of 55 winning China Quality Award events during 2013 to 2017, this paper uses the event study method to analyze whether the award winning firms had abnormal returns during the announcement period. The results show that the event of winning the China Quality Award caused a significant positive stock market reaction in the short-term. In addition, this paper studies some sub-sample categories and long-term effects of the award-winning events. The research results analyze the influence of China Quality Award on the market value of the award-winning firms from five aspects: firm characteristics, industry, regional economic level, first time award and competition ability, which provides a reference for investors\' investment direction.
