钙质砂与硅质砂力学特性对比试验研究

摘要:特殊生物成因的钙质砂具有内部结构疏松、颗粒形状不规则、颗粒强度低等特点,使得钙质砂表现出异于普通陆源硅质砂的力学特性。本文对相同级配的钙质砂和硅质砂试样分别开展了不同排水条件下的循环扭转剪切试验、循环三轴剪切试验和轻型动力触探试验,以对比分析钙质砂和硅质砂地基的抗液化能力和贯入指标。试验结果表明:(1)相同级配和相对密度的钙质砂比硅质砂具有更高的抗剪切强度和抗变形能力;(2)在各相对密度下钙质砂的抗液化能力均高于硅质砂;(3)轻型动力触探试验的贯入阻力随相对密度的增加而增大,相同相对密度的钙质砂地基的贯入阻力高于硅质砂地基。

Comparative experimental study on mechanical properties of calcareous and silica sands
Abstract:Calcareous sand has the characteristics of loose internal structure, irregular particle shape and low particle strength due to its special biological origin, which makes calcareous sand exhibitdifferent mechanical behaviors from continental silica sand. In this paper, a series of cyclic torsional shear testsunder different drainage conditions, cyclic triaxial shear tests, as well as light dynamic penetration testswereconductedon the calcareous and siliceous sand samples of identical grading respectively, and the liquefaction resistance and penetration index of the two sands were compared and analyzed. Theshear strength of calcareous sandis higher than that of silica sandof the identical grading and relative density.The liquefaction resistance of calcareous sandis higher than that of silica sand. The penetration resistance of light dynamic penetration test increase with the increasing relative density, and the penetration resistance ofcalcareous sandwith the identical relative density is higher than that of silica sand.
