OTDR optical cable line interruption monitoring and transformer temperature warning system based on FBG

Abstract:This paper proposes a new cable interruption monitoring and transformer temperature warning system combined fiber Bragg grating (FBG) with optical time-domain reflectometer (OTDR).This new system coupled with FBG, and the OTDR active detection of optical cable line is optimized to trigger monitoring of line interruption.It improves the shortcomings of traditional optical cable interruption detection system,such as short service life of OTDR, long response time and not supporting large-scale detection.In the state of no power supply,this joint monitoring system can realize temperature early warning of transformer and achieve response in seconds in the actual application scenario.

摘要:本文提出了一种基于光纤Bragg光栅(FBG)的光时域反射计(OTDR)光缆中断监测及变压器温度报警系统,在传统的OTDR光缆中断检测系统中耦合了FBG,将OTDR主动检测光缆线路优化为线路中断的触发监测,改善了传统光缆中断检测系统中,OTDR使用寿命短、反应时间长、不支持大规模检测的缺点,并实现了无源条件下温度预警的联合监测,在实际应用场景中可以实现秒级响应。
