网络授时的时间偏移估计方法分析

摘要:精确时间协议(PTP,Precise Time Protocol)是目前主流的网络授时协议之一,授时精度可以达到亚微秒级。PTP基于双向数据包时延相等的假设进行网络授时,然而实际网络双向时延的不对称性会严重影响PTP的授时性能。时间偏移估计方法用以补偿不对称时延的影响,具有应用灵活、无需硬件支持的优点。本文调研分析了时间偏移估计方法,针对相位偏移估计(POE,Phase Offset Estimation)方法和传统的偏移估计方法,给出了数学模型并以交叉背景流和平行背景流以及不同负载等多种场景下进行仿真实验,对比结果表明相位偏移估计方法K模型具有较优的性能。

Analysis of Offset Estimation Method for Network Timing
Abstract:Precise Time Protocol (PTP) is one of the current mainstream network timing protocols, and the timing accuracy can reach sub-microsecond level. PTP performs network timing based on the assumption that the two-way data packet delay is equal, but the asymmetry of the actual network two-way delay will seriously affect the timing performance of PTP. The time offset estimation method is used to compensate for the influence of asymmetric delay, and has the advantages of flexible application and no hardware support. This article investigates and analyzes the time offset estimation method. For the phase offset estimation (POE) method and the traditional offset estimation method, mathematical models are given and simulation experiments are carried out in various scenarios such as cross background flow, parallel background flow and different loads. The results show that the phase offset estimation method K model has better performance.
