一种用于OFDM系统PAPR抑制的新型分段非线性压扩技术

摘要:本文针对正交频分复用(OFDM)系统中的峰均功率比(PAPR)抑制问题,提出了一种有效的、可调节的、低复杂度的基于sigmod函数的分段非线性压扩算法。在该压扩算法中,幅值低于分段点的信号保持不变,幅值高于分段点的信号使用sigmod型函数进行修正,来同时完成振幅限制和功率补偿。压扩/解压扩函数、约束方程和最佳参数选择依据也一并给出。与其他常用的非线性压扩方案相比,该算法具有较低的复杂度和较高的参数选择灵活性。通过适当地调整参数,可以在PAPR抑制、误码率(BER)性能和功率谱密度(PSD)的带外辐射(OOB)性能之间取得良好的折衷。仿真结果表明,在高调制阶数的条件下,该算法在BER性能和PSD性能方面都有明显的提高。

A Novel Piecewise Nonlinear Companding Transform for PAPR Reduction in OFDM Systems
Abstract:In this atricle, an effective, adjustable and low-complexity sigmod-based piecewise nonlinear companding transform is proposed for peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) reduction in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. In the proposed companding transform, signals with amplitudes below aninflexion point remain unchanged, and ones over the point are modified with a sigmod-type function, which can complete both amplitude limit and power compensation. Companding function and decompanding function, constraint equations and the best parameter selection basis are also given. Compared with other common nonlinear companding schemes, the proposed scheme has a lower complexity and higher flexibility in parameter selection.By appropriately adjusting transform parameters, a better tradeoff of PAPR reduction, bit error rate (BER) performance and out-of-band (OOB) radiation of the power spectral density (PSD) can be obtained. Simulation results show that the proposed schemecan outperform in BER performance and PSD performance in the case of high modulation order.
