基于能量收集的有源RIS辅助无线通信的中断概率分析

摘要:最近的研究表明相比于传统部署大量无源反射元件的可重构智能表面(Reconfigurable intelligent surface,RIS),有源RIS能有效缩减尺寸和减少反射元件个数。有源RIS中每个反射元件都由有源负载辅助,它反射和放大入射信号,而不是仅用可调相移反射信号。为了有源RIS能有稳定的功率输出,解决能量供给问题至关重要。首先,本文通过引入能量收集技术解决能量供给问题,提出一种新型有源RIS架构,在此架构中,有源RIS边缘带有能量收集元件收集射频能源。然后基于此架构,考虑不同能量收集信道对系统中断概率的影响,导出封闭的中断概率解析式。数值结果用于验证能量采集参数及系统参数对有源RIS中断概率的影响。

Outage Probability of Active RIS-Aided Wireless Communications Based on Energy Harvesting
Abstract:Recent studies have shown that active reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) can effectively reduce the number of reflective elements compared to the traditional RIS where a large number of passive reflective components are deployed. Each reflecting element in the active RIS is assisted by an active load, which reflects and amplifies the incident signal instead of only using the adjustable phase shift to reflect the signal. In order for the active RIS to have a stable power output, it is critical to solve the problem of energy supply. First, this paper solves the energy supply problem by introducing energy harvesting (EH) technology, and proposes a new type of active RIS architecture. In this architecture, the edge of the active RIS is equipped with energy harvesting elements to collect radio frequency energy. Then based on this architecture, considering the impact of different energy harvesting channels on the system outage probability, a closed outage probability analytical formula is derived. The numerical results are used to verify the influence of energy harvesting parameters and system parameters on the outage probability of the active RIS.
