This paper described plant extracts as natural antibacterial agent. Most of the commercial antibiotics have no longer effective to control the bacterial pathogens due to the incidence of antibiotic resistance. A total of 13 studies have been reviewed and compared in terms of their plant extraction method and solvent used. Methanol was found to be the best solvent to extract antibacterial properties from most plants whereas plant extracts that did not expose to high temperature were found more effective for antibacterial purpose.

This paper described application of random amplified polymorphic DNA- polymerase chain reaction (RAPD-PCR) to discriminate bacteria isolated from aquaculture sites. A total of 20 studies were reviewed in terms of types of primer used and its effectiveness as fish bacteria discrimination tool. RAPD-PCR was found to be a simple, cheap and rapid tool to discriminate fish bacteria especially at intraspecific level.

This paper described phenotypes and aspect of Edwardsiella tarda in fish. Edwardsiella tarda is a well known causative agent for Edwardsiellosis in fish culture and hence causing problems to fish farmers. Comparative studies on phenotypic properties of E. tarda have been reported in various hosts, including freshwater and marine fish. E. tarda strains shared similar biochemical characteristics except for citrate utilization.

In CDMA systems all users transmit their signals using a single carrier frequency. In order to decode signals from different UE two coding schemes are used Channelization and Scrambling. Channelization in the forward link apart from spreading the user data rate also maintains orthogonality between different channels to reduce interference between them. WCDMA uses orthogonal codes under the control of the base station to allocate appropriate codes to each channel. Since the code tree from which the orthogonal codes are derived is limited and has its inherent draw backs, many proposals are made to obtain most efficient and effective code assignment or allocation schemes that will result in allowing as much user as possible to access the network. In this paper we will try to summarize to the best of our ability such works and to try to compare the different results obtained from these works.
