This paper presents a new design of reservation-based medium access protocol-dynamic frame packet reservation multiple access (DF-PRMA) - for wireless ATM environment and gives the performance analysis of delay and channel throughput after setting up a mathemic model. This protocol has daptbility to the fluctuation of traffic by controling frame length dynamically while it can guarantee teh delay performance by forced collision and special reservarion slot. All these can give a limited access delay and keep the QoS level and a resonable high channel throughput.
