PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF THE ALL-OPTICAL XOR GATE USING SOAMZI WITH A DIFFERENTIAL MODULATION SCHEME

In this paper, the all-optical exclusive OR gate using an integrated SOA-based Mach-Zehnder interferometer with a differential modulation scheme is proved to exceed the operation speed limit effectively through numerical analysis for the first time. The control-signal pulse parameters and delay time are discussed and designed to optimize the performance of the XOR gate.
