Edge-based FEM Analysis of Coupled Slot-lines with a Ferrite Layer

In this paper analysis and simulation ofthe eigen-mode fields of two sandwich coupledslot-lines with ferrite and dielectric layers arecarried out by using the finite element methodwith edge elements. Based on the analysis andsimulation, different devices such as switches andfour-port circulators, as well as directionalcouplers could be constructed by selecting theappropriate operating frequency, coupling lengthand bias magnetic field.
