许林,博士,无机化学教授, 博士生导师。曾于2001年至2002年在美国密苏里大学做博士后研究,2005年在日本关西大学和东京大学做短期学术访问。现任东北师范大学化学学院院长,“多酸科学教育部重点实验室”主任。多年从事多酸化学的基础研究和应用研究工作,目前主要科研方向是多酸型无机-有机杂化材料和多酸分子基功能材料的设计、制备和性能。通过大量的实验摸索,发现了一个合成多酸阴离子-有机分子杂化二聚体的新方法,为进一步制备多酸分子基无机-有机聚合物材料奠定了基础。借助于这个新的合成方法,制备出国际上第一例多酸阴离子处于聚合物主链上的无机-有机聚合物,这个研究结果已经发表在国际著名学术期刊上 (Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., 2002, 41, 4129. 至今已被引用58次)。在多酸化学的基础研究方面做出了一系列有创新性的工作,特别是在”多酸型无机-有机杂化材料”方面取得了重要的研究成果, 制备出国际上首例多酸型无机-有机功能性纳米荧光复合膜(J. Mater. Chem., 2002, 12, 654. 至今已被引用38次)。在Angew. Chem. Int. Ed, Inorg. Chem., J. Phys. Chem. B等国内外重要学术杂志上发表论文60余篇,所发表的论文多次被国际同行引用。曾主持完成两项国家自然科学基金面上项目和一项吉林省科技厅项目等课题研究, 现正在主持国家自然科学基金面上项目”基于多酸的电致变色复合膜制备及性能研究”,教育部博士点基金项目”基于多酸阴离子的晶体工程设计和合成”。曾获国家教委科技进步三等奖和教育部提名国家科学技术奖二等奖。2006年获吉林省有突出贡献的中青年专业技术人才称号, 2007年获国务院政府特殊津贴。合作出版国内第一部多酸化学专著«多酸化学导论»,该书已被国内几所大学用作研究生教材。现为Chem. Commun. 、 Inorg. Chem.、Dalton Trans.、J. Mater. Chem. 等国际学术杂志的审稿人, 《分子科学学报》杂志编委,吉林省化学会理事,东北师范大学自然科学学术委员会委员、学位委员会委员。

Electrochromic multilayer films consisting of polyoxometalate (POM) cluster R-K10[P2W17O61]17H2O (P2W17), copper(II) complex [CuII(phen)2](NO3)2 (phen = 1,10-phenithroline), and iron complex [Fe II(phen)3](ClO4)2 were fabricated on silicon, quartz and ITO substrates by layer-by-layer self-assembly method. The multilayer films, PSS/CuII(phen)2/[(P2W17/CuII(phen)2)]n and PSS/FeII(phen)3/[(P2W17/FeII (phen)3)]n were characterized by UV-vis spectra, X-ray photoelectron spectra, cyclic voltammetry (CV), chronoamperometric (CA) and in-situ spectral electrochemical measurements. The interesting feature of the electrochromic film is its adjustable color by reduction of both transition metal complex and polyoxometalate at different potentials. The multilayer films also exhibit high optical contrast, suitable response time and low operation potential due to the presence of mono-lacunary-substituted polyoxometalate and transition metal complex. This is the first example that the color of electrochromic film can be adjustable, which gives valuable information for exploring new electrochromic materials with tunable colors.

The compound [NH3(CH2)2NH2(CH2)2NH3]2[Mo9O30] was synthesized at 170 °C via hydrothermal techniques from the starting materials of Na2MoO4H2O, NH2(CH2)2NH(CH3)2NH2, and H2O. The compound crystallizes in the space group C2/c of the monoclinic system with a = 21.308(4)A, b = 9.234(2)A, c = 19.195(4)A, β = 120.27(3) γ, V = 3261.9(11)A3, Z = 4. Two novel and symmetrically related helices coexist in the centrosymmetric solid, in which the two kinds of helices appear in the left-handed and right-handed enantiomorphs, respectively. This is the first example of a helical chain structure consisting of only molybdenumoxide building blocks. The central axis about each helical chain is a 2-fold screw axis.

The rst O,O -bonded metal-stabilized sulnate, Mn(2-sinic-O,O )(DMSO)2 (2-sinic = 2-sulnato-nicotinate) has been isolated and structurally characterized to show a novel onedimensional chain structure containing both the enantiomers of the subunit Mn(2-sinic)(DMSO)2 .

Ultra-thin multilayer lms consisting of polyoxotungsceriumate cluster K17[CeIII(P2W17O61)2]30H2O [Ce(P2W17)2] and polyallylamine hydrochloride were fabricated on quartz and ITO substrates by a layer-by-layer self-assembly method. The multilayer lms were characterized by UV-vis spectra, cyclic voltammetry (CV) and chronoamperometric (CA) measurement. Compared with other polyoxometalates, the electrochromic lm exhibits suitable response times, low operation potentials, high optical contrast and thermal stability, which provide valuable information for exploring the possibility of application to polyoxometalate-based electrochromic materials.

An ultrathin multilayer lm consisting of polyoxometalate cluster -K8P2W17O61NiII H2O 18H2O P2W17Ni and polyallylamine hydrochloride PAH was fabricated on quartz and indium tin oxide substrates by layer-by-layer self-assembly. The multilayer lms, P2W17Ni/PAH n, were characterized by UV-visible spectra, cyclic voltammetry, chronoamperometry, atomic force microscopy, and in situ spectroelectrochemical measurements. The multilayer lm exhibits both suitable response time and low operation potential due to the presence of nickel-substituted polyoxometalate, providing valuable information for exploring the possible application of polyoxometalate-based electrochromic materials. Further, P2W17Ni embedded in a self-assembled polyelectrolyte matrix can also be used as a pH sensor because of the pH dependence of its electrochemical response.

A novel sandwich-type lanthanide polyoxometalate (NH4)2[N(CH3)4]6Na2[Ce(PW11O39)2] 14H2O (1) has been synthesized and characterized by cyclic voltammetry, IR spectroscopy and single crystal X-ray diraction. X-ray diraction result reveals that the sandwichtype polyanions are linked by sodium ions to form a structure of zigzag chains, and the chains are further connected into an extensive two-dimensional (2D) framework depending on hydrogen bond.

A novel bifunctionalized arylimido derivative of hexamolybdate, (Bu4N)2[Mo6O17(NAr)2] [Ar = 2,6-(CH3)2C6H3] (1), in which the two 2,6-dimethylaniline groups are bounded to hexamolybdate at the cis positions, was synthesized by a facile reaction of a-octamolybdate with 2,6-dimethylaniline using DCC as a dehydration agent. The existence of strong non-typical C–H O hydrogen bonds plays an important role in crystal structure stabilization of compound 1. The results of uorescence spectra show that the formation of a covalent bond between 2,6-dimethylaniline molecule and hexamolybdate could eciently quench the uorescence intensity of 2,6-dimethylaniline molecule, with a uorescence quencher eciency of 87.7%. Thermal analysis results indicate that two substituted 2,6-(CH3)2C6H3 molecules bonding to the same cluster dissociated at dierent temperature, in well agreement with the dierent MoN bond length in compound 1. The electrochemical behavior of modied 1-CPE has been studied in detail. Compared with the conventional polyoxometalate (POM)-modied electrode, 1-CPE presents a merit of remarkable stability over 500 cycles due to the insolubility of the POM nanoparticles, which is especially important for practical applications.

Two lanthanide-decorated polyoxometalates K[Ln2(a-SiW11O39)(H2O)11] (Ln = La, Ce) have been successfully synthesized and characterized with single-crystal X-ray diffraction, IR spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analysis. The two compounds have analogy structures, which consist of one-dimensional chains based on [a-SiW11O39]8 building blocks. The chains are further connected to a two-dimensional layer by potassium ions. The magnetic studies of compound 1 demonstrate a ferromagnetic interaction in 1.
