廖代正(男),1939年7月生,1962年毕业于复旦大学化学系,现为南开大学教授。曾被聘为厦门大学、中国科技大学兼职教授;国家基金委学科评审委员;国家教委教学指导组成员;“无机化学学报”编委。现为“中国化学”、“应用化学”编委和“结构化学”副主编。长期从事配位化学的科研与教学工作,研究方向为“桥联多核配合物和分子磁性”是我国最早开展此项前沿领域的研究者之一。1982年以来,主持获承担了10多项国家自然科学基金项目,在SCI源刊上发表465篇论文;173篇被他引用658次,单篇他引用数最高为54次。由于在大环及多核配合物研究的贡献,1989年(第二完成人)及1995年(第一完成人)两次获得国家教委科技进步二等奖和1993年获天津市授予的“授衔无机化学专家”称号。由于在分子磁性基础研究的贡献,1999年获首届天津市科技进步(自然科学)一等奖(第一完成人)和2003年国家自然科学二等奖(第一完成人)。由于在人才培养及教书育人方面的贡献,1992年获中国化学会授予的“配位化学育才奖”和1998年的宝钢优秀教师奖。

Two oxamato-bridged copper(Ⅱ) complexes of formula [Cu3(pbaOH)(tmen)2(H2O)(ClO4)]n[ClO4]n nH2O 1 and [Cu3(opba)(tmen)2(H2O)3][Cu3(opba)(tmen)2(H2O)2][ClO4]4 3H2O 2 have been synthesized and characterized by IR, ESR, electronic spectra and X-ray crystallographic analyses, where pbaOH4 = 2-hydroxyl-N,N -trimethylenebis-(oxamate), opba4 = N,N -o-phenylenebis(oxamate), tmen=N,N,N,N -tetramethylethylenediamine. Both complexes consist of cationic trinuclear entities, in which copper atoms reside in square-planar (4) or squarepyramidal (4 1) environments. In complex 1 the hydroxyl group of one trinuclear entity coordinates to a terminal copper atom of another, thus forming an unusual one-dimensional chain. In 2 two neighboring trinuclear cations interact to form an interesting supramolecular (or "supracationic") dimer. The magnetic properties of the two complexes have been investigated, indicating that two copper(Ⅱ) ions bridged by the oxamato bridge interact antiferromagnetically with J=334.4cm 1 for 1 and 356.6cm•1 for 2 (based on H=/JS 1/S 2).

Two novel oxamido-bridged heterobinuclear copper(Ⅱ)-manganese(Ⅱ) complexes derived from macrocylic oxamido compounds incorporating different blocking ligands were synthesized and characterized by IR and electronic spectroscopy. They are of formula [Cu(L)Mn(phen)2](ClO4)2•1.5H2O (1) and [Cu(L)Mn(ntb)](ClO4)2•H2O (2), where L=1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane-2,3-dione, phen=1,10-phenanthroline and ntb= tris(2-benzimidazolylmethyl)-amine. The crystal structures of the two complexes have been determined and they consist of binuclear units in which the copper(Ⅱ) ion is in a square-planar environment and linked to the manganese(Ⅱ) ion via the exo-cis oxygen atoms of the oxamido macrocyclic ligand, with Cu Mn separations of 5.421 (1) and 5.486 Å (2), respectively. The packing of the molecules along the a orientation in 2 results in open channels, which were extended into a threedimensional hydrogen-bonded supramolecular network. The temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility for 1 and 2 were analyzed by means of the Hamiltonian, H = •2JS MnS Cu, leading to J= •14.2 and •14.7 cm•1 for 1 and 2, respectively.
