谈和平教授，博士生导师。男，汉族，中共党员，江苏无锡市人，1952年9月30日生。1976年毕业于哈尔滨工业大学动力机械系；1981年哈工大热能工程学科研究生毕业，获工学硕士学位；1985年由教育部选送赴法国学习，1989年获法国普瓦蒂埃大学博士学位。1991年起任哈工大教授。现任哈尔滨工业大学能源科学与工程学院院长、航空航天热物理研究所所长。1997年度国家杰出青年基金获得者。国务院学位委员会第四届、第五届学科评议组成员；教育部科技委第五届学部委员（工程技术一部）；黑龙江省第二届学位委员会委员；中国工程热物理学会常务理事；中国航空学会动力专业分会燃烧与传热传质专业委员会委员；《工程热物理学报》、《宇航学报》、《航天器工程》编委。主要从事热辐射特性与传输，目标与环境红外特性，空间光学系统杂散光分析，红外辐射数值模拟等研究。指导硕士生29人（已毕业19人），有1人获黑龙江省优秀硕士学位论文。指导博士生16人（已毕业9人），有3人获哈工大优秀博士学位论文，1人获全国优秀博士学位论文。获航天部、航天工业总公司、国家教委科技进步二等奖各一项。研究结果在J. The nonFourier effects on transient temperature response in semitransparent medium with black boundary surfaces caused by laser pulse are studied. The processes of the coupled conduction and radiation heat transfer in a onedimensional semitransparent slab with black boundaries are analyzed numerically. The hyperbolic heat conduction equation is solved by the fluxsplitting method, and the radiative transfer equation is solved by the discrete ordinate method. The transient temperature response obtained from hyperbolic heat conduction equation is compared with those obtained from the classical parabolic heat conduction equation. The results show that the nonFourier effect can be important when the conductiontoradiation parameter and the thermal relaxation time of heat conduction are larger. Under this condition, for the laserflash measurement of the thermal diffusivity in semitransparent materials, omitting the nonFourier effect can result in significant errors.

The nonFourier effects on transient thermal response in semitransparent medium with black boundary surfaces caused by a periodic irradiation are studied. The processes of the transient coupled radiativeconductive heat transfer in a onedimensional semitransparent slab with black boundaries are analyzed numerically. The hyperbolic heat conduction equation is solved by the fluxsplitting method, and the radiative transfer equation is solved by the discrete ordinate method. The transient thermal responses obtained from hyperbolic heat conduction equation are compared with those obtained from the classical parabolic heat conduction equation. The nonFourier effect can be important even at a long time after the initial transient if the periodic irradiation at boundary is oscillatory with the period of oscillation of the same order of magnitude as the thermal relaxation time of conduction.

The transient thermal responses in a twodimensional semitransparent cylinder with black boundary surfaces caused by a pulse irradiation at one end of the cylinder are studied. The processes of the transient coupled radiativeconductive heat transfer in the cylinder are analyzed numerically. An implicit centraldifference scheme is employed for handling the energy equation, while a discreteordinates method is used to solve the radiative transfer equation. The effects of various parameters on the transient thermal responses are investigated. It is found that, due to the radiation within medium, the transient temperature of the nonirradiated end surface of the cylinder can be greater than that of the inner medium of cylinder. Temperature evolution curves with two peaks can be observed under some conditions at the nonirradiated end of the cylinder. The effects of the conductionradiation parameter, the optical thickness and refractive index on the transient temperature responses are large. The effects of singlescattering albedo are more significant for the radiationdominated case than that for the conductiondominated case.

The internal distribution of spectral radiation absorption in onedimensional semitransparent slab, sphere and cylinder irradiated uniformly and isotropically is determined by the ray tracing method, and the detailed theory for computation are deduced. The computed results show that the internal distribution of spectral radiation absorption in slab differs from that in spherical and cylindrical particles. The peak of internal volumetric spectral radiation absorption may locate at interior shell of the semitransparent sphere and cylinder. The dimensionless volumetric spectral radiation absorption is higher near the center for weakly absorbing or small size parameter, but is higher near the surface for strongly absorbing or large spheres and cylinders. Refraction focuses the rays close to the sphere and cylinder center. With the increases of the refractive index, the dimensionless volumetric spectral radiation absorption increases near the sphere and cylinder centers and decreases near the sphere and cylinder surfaces.

The internal distribution of spectral radiation absorption in a semitransparent spherical particle irradiated uniformly and isotropically is determined by the ray tracing method, and the detailed computation formulae for the internal spectral radiation absorption are deduced. The computed results show that the peak of internal volumetric spectral radiation absorption may locate at the interior shell of the particle. The dimensionless volumetric spectral radiation absorption is higher near the center for weakly absorbing or small spheres, but the dimensionless volumetric spectral radiation absorption is higher near the surface for strongly absorbing or large spheres. The corresponding physical interpretations of the internal spectral absorption distribution are given.

An iteration method is extended to analyze the influences of the turbulent fluctuation on the reconstruction of Reynolds timeaveraged temperature in turbulent axisymmetric free flames when the temperature profiles are retrieved by the low timeresolution data of outgoing emission and transmission radiation intensities. A simplified probability density function is used to simulate the turbulent fluctuation of temperature and absorption coefficient. The effects of turbulent fluctuating intensities on the estimation of the Reynolds timeaveraged temperature and absorption coefficient are examined. The results show that the effects of turbulent fluctuation on the reconstruction of timeaveraged absorption coefficient are not significant. In the case of weak turbulent fluctuation, the influences of turbulent fluctuation on the estimation of timeaveraged temperature profiles are small. But in the case of strong turbulent fluctuation, the influences of turbulent fluctuation on the estimation of timeaveraged temperature profiles are significant.

The internal distribution of radiative absorption in onedimensional semitransparent slab exposed to collimated irradiation is determined by the ray tracing method, and the detailed computation formulae for the distribution of radiative absorption are deduced. It is found that the ray will be polarized by specular reflection of slab boundaries even if the collimated irradiation is unpolarized, and the extent of polarization increases with the internal reflection times. The effects of polarization on the radiative absorption are analyzed and the radiative absorption distributions are compared with those obtained from the case in which the effects of polarization are omitted. The results show that the large differences between re6ectances of perpendicular and parallel polarized components are the main causes resulting in errors of radiative absorption distribution. The polarization of incident beam has significant influences on the radiative absorption. Even for an unpolarized beam irradiated near Brewster's angle, omitting the effects of polarization will result in large errors, and the errors increase with the refractive index.

A Monte Carlo curved raytracing method is used to analyze the radiative heat transfer in onedimensional absorbingemittingscattering semitransparent slab with variable spatial refractive index. A problem of radiative equilibrium with linear variable spatial refractive index is taken as an example in this paper. The predicted temperature distributions are determined by the proposed method and compared with the data in references. The results show that influences of refractive index gradient are important and the influences increase with the refractive index gradient, the temperature distribution approaches to the one obtained for a constant refractive index when the slab optical thickness is far greater than 1.0, and the effect of the scattering phase function is similar to that in the medium with constant refractive index.

The transient temperature responses in a onedimensional semitransparent slab with variable refractive index caused by a pulse irradiation are studied. The processes of the transient coupled radiativeconductive heat transfer in the semitransparent slab are analyzed numerically. An implicit centraldifference scheme is employed for handling the energy equation, while a discrete curved raytracing method is used to solve the radiative transfer equation. The transient temperature responses in the case of constant refractive index are compared with those in the case of variable spatial refractive index. The results show that the spatial variation of refractive index has significant influences on the transient temperature responses of semitransparent slab. Omitting the spatial variation of refractive index may result in errors of transient temperature responses within semitransparent slab to some extent. The effects of optical thickness and refractive index gradient on the transient temperature responses are significant. Increasing the slab optical thickness, the effects of refractive index gradient on the transient temperature responses increase, especially for the nonincident surface.

A radiative transfer model for a linearly or nonlinearly anisotropic scattering medium is developed by the ray tracing method. Under specular reflection, the radiative transfer coefficients of absorbing and anisotropic scattering layer with opaque boundaries are deduced. Coupled radiative and conductive heat transfer is solved. The advantage of the method is that it only needs to disperse spatial position, but not solid angle. A comparison of the present results with the previous results shows that the radiative transfer coefficients of an anisotropic scattering slab are correct. The influence of optical thickness, surface emissivity, spectrum characteristics, albedo, and boundary conditions on the transient temperature and the heat flux distribution are analyzed. According to analyzed results of linear scattering and nonlinear scattering, it is found that the ratio of twodimensionless heat fluxes with two different scattering phase functions is a monotone function of optical thickness. It can be used as a benchmark to verify the results.
