王西奎教授,男,理学博士。1982 年毕业于山东大学化学系有机化学专业,1990 年于中国科学院生态环境研究中心获环境化学专业理学博士学位。现任济南大学党委常委、校长助理,化学化工学院应用化学学科首席岗教授,兼任山东省生态学会常务理事、山东省环境科学学会理事、山东省化学化工学会新材料专业委员会委员、中国科学院兰州化学物理研究所联合培养博士生导师、济南市科协六届委员会常务委员。系山东省第五批省级中青年学术骨干,济南市专业技术拔尖人才,教育部首批资助的高校骨干教师。
现从事的主要研究工作:(1)环境污染控制化学:主要研究利用光、声、微波等物理手段降解水中有机污染物。(2) 超声化学:主要研究空化效应及其在环境科学和材料制备中的应用。(3)环境材料的制备评价:主要研究环境催化净化材料、环境纳米材料的制备与应用。
科研成果及奖励:1. 聚合物材料组成剖析及有机添加剂分析,1999年国家建材局建材行业科技进步三等奖;2. 现代仪器分析技术在塑料组成剖析中的应用,2000年山东省普通高校优秀实验技术三等奖;3. 酞酸酯类化合物的合成、环境化学参数及分析方法研究,1996年山东省教委科技进步二等奖。

The sonochemical degradation in aqueous solution of methyl violet, chosen as a model of a basic dye, was studied. The ultrasonic degradation kinetics in water were found to be first-order and the degradation rate coefficient is 1.35×10-2 min-1 (R=0.9934, n=8) at 20±1℃. The influence of the initial concentrations, reaction temperature and the pH of medium on the ultrasonic decomposition of methyl violet were also investigated.

The phthalate esters such as DMP, DEP, DBP and DEHP in air, soil and plant samples in plastic film greenhouse were clean up with fine silica gel column and determined with HPLC. It was found that the concentrations of PEs in air and soil samples in plastic film greenhouse are much higher than those of contrast samples. But concentrations of PEs in plants in plastic film greenhouse are not remarkably affected by the pollution of air and soil.

A novel sonochemical method to directly prepare anatase nanocrystalline TiO2 has been established. TiO2 particles were synthesized by the hydrolysis of titanium tetraisopropyl in the presence of water and ethanol under high-intensity ultrasonic irradiation (20 KHz, 100 W/cm2 ) at 90℃ for 3 h. The product structure and the particle sizes were dependent upon the reaction temperature, the acidity of the medium and the reaction time. Characterization was accomplished using various different techniques, such as powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), thermogravimetry-differential thermal analysis (TG-DTA), and Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy. The TEM images showed that the particles of TiO2 were columnar in shape and the average sizes were ~3×7 nm. The formation mechanism of nanocrystalline TiO2 under high-intensity ultrasonic irradiation was also discussed.
