1994年获得南京大学理学博士学位,2003年起任南京大学物理系教授,博士生导师;2012年起兼任中国科学院大学博士生导师。现任南京大学近代物理系副主任,南京大学-紫金山天文台粒子-核-宇宙学联合研究中心副主任,中国核物理学会理事,《现代物理知识》编委。
长期从事粒子物理与核物理学研究,在非微扰量子场论、三维量子电动力学、Dyson-Schwinger 方程、强子性质、冷原子、中子星、核物质相变及有限密量子色动力学的应用方面做出了一些有特色的工作。 截至2013年8月,共在 SCI 学术期刊上共发表论文180余篇,其中 JHEP, Physical Review D, Physics Letters B 等杂志发表逾60篇。
已毕业博士生20余人。现指导在读博士研究生10人,硕士研究生5人。

Within this approach it is shown that the vacuum condensates are free of ultraviolet divergence which is different from previous studies As special cases, the two-quark condensate <qq-> and the mixed quark-gluon condensate g<q-Gμνσμνq> are calculated. A comparison with the results of other nonperturbative QCD approaches is given.

The relation between the axial vector current of current quark and that of constituent quark has been studied within the framework of the global color symmetry model. Gluon dressing of the axial vector vertex and the quark self-energy function are described by the inhomogeneous Bethe-Salpeter equation in the ladder approximation and the Schwinger-Dyson equation in the rainbow approximation, respectively.

It is shown in this paper that the vacuum configuration of the bilocal field in the global color symmetry model (GCM) can be calculated in the instanton dilute liquid approximation. As only the excitation of Goldstone bosons is taken into account, the relative motion against the vacuum is equivalent to the dynamical mass of a quark. The bilocal field generating the mesons π and σ in the GCM is then determined. With the determined bilocal field and the effective action, the masses and the decay constants of the mesons π and σ, and the decay width of σ→ππ are calculated in the GCM. The calculated results agree with experimental data quite well.

ed at a large one. It is shown that the level mixing due to color screening serves as a new mechanism resulting in the J/ψ suppression. Moreover, this kind of suppression can occur before the color screening mass reaches its critical value for J/ψ dissociation. This implies that a strong J/ψ suppression is possible in the absence of dissociation of J/ψ.

A modified method for calculating the pion vacuum susceptibility from an effective quark-quark interaction model is derived. Within this approach it is shown that the pion vacuum susceptibility is free of ultraviolet divergence and is much smaller than the previous estimations.

The transverse axial vector and vector anomalies in four-dimensional U(1) gauge theories studied in [Phys. Lett. B 507 (2001) 351] is reexamined by means of perturbative method. The absence of transverse anomalies for both axial vector and vector current is verified. We also show that the Pauli-Villars regularization and dimensional regularization gives the same result on the transverse anomaly of both axial vector and vector current.
