李高翔,男,1968年12出生,华中师范大学物理科学与技术学院教授、博士生导师。先后在Phys.Rev.A、J.Phys.B、IEEE J Quaantum Elect等国内外核心期刊上发表论文80余篇,其中被SCI、EI收录近50篇,分别由科学出版社和新加坡世界科学出版社出版专著各一本,近五年来先后主持承担了国家自然科学基金项目、教育部优秀青年教师资助计划、教育部科学技术研究重点项目、教育部留学回国人员科研启动基金、湖北省自然科学基金项目和武汉市青年科技晨光计划等基金项目10。2000年度获湖北省科学技术进步一等奖,2001年度获湖北省自然科学三等奖,2003年度获霍英东教育基金会第九届青年教师奖(研究类)二等奖。

By means of adiabatically eliminationg the upper level or levels of a A-configuration atom coupling to a two-mode quantized field, we have studied the influencesofac Stark shifts on the atomic coherent population trapping in two important atom-field coupling systems via nondegenerated Raman two-photon processes.The states of the field that trap the atom in its two nondegenerate lower levels are obtained, and the important roles of ac Stark shifts and properties of the atomic upper level or levels in the states of the trapping field in two Raman-coupling systems are also analyzed.

A cavity-modified master equaion is derived for a coherently driven, V-type three-level atom coupled to a single-mode cavity in the bad-cavity limit. We show that population iversionin both the bare-and dressedstate bases may be achieved, originationg form the enhancementof the acom-cavity interaction when the caivty are analyzed in terms of the cavity-modifeed transition rates.The atomic fluorescence spectrum and probe absorption spectrum are also investigated, and it is found that the spectral profiles may be controlled by adjusting the cavity frequency. Peak suppression and line narrowing occure under the appropriate conditions.

The dynamical behavior of entanglement for excitonsi in two quantum dots placed in a caivty driven by a broadband squeezed vacuum is studied in the low exciton density regime. It is found that the excitions in two quantum dost can evole into a pure entangled state only when the dissipaion of the caivity and exction modes is negligible. When the injected field into the cavity is a squeezed vacuum, the exctions will be in a two-mode Gaussian entangled mixed state even in the long time limit. Analytical expressions are derived, showing the dependece of the entanglement property of the excitons in two quantum dost on the squeezing properties of th inital state prepared in the cavity and the strength of two-photon correlations of the squeezedvacuum injected into the cavity.

The generation of an entangled state for a pair fof two-level atoms embedded in a bad cavity injected with a squeezed vacuum is investigated. The degree of entanglement between the two atoms strongly depends on the mean photon number and the strength of two-photon correlations of the squeezedvacuum, the cavity-induced decay rate of atoms, and the atomic separation.

The dynamical behavior of entanglement ofr excitons in two quatum dots placed in two separately singlemode optical cavities driven by an external boradband two-mode squeezed vacuum is studied in the low exciton density regime. It is found that if the field in the two separated cavitied is initially prepared in a pure two-mode squeezed vacuum state, the excitons in the two quantum dots cna evolve into a pure entangled state only when the dissipation of the cavitied and excition modes is negligible. When the efect of the dissipation is included, the excitions will be in a two-mode Gaussian entangled mixed state whose properties are decided by the externally driven fiedld and the initial field. The dependence of the entanglement property of the excitons in the two quantum dots on the squeezing properties of the fields in the two cavities is also discussed.

The time-dependent characteristic function for the vibratlonal quanta of two ions separately trapped in two caacaded optical eavities is obtained analytieally beyond the bad cavity linit, in which tfie motional mode of the ion in the first cavfiy is coupled to lhe cavity, field via an effective parametrc interacion and that of the ion in the second cavity" via a liaear-mixing interaction as proposed by Peng and Parkias Pfiys. Rev. A 65, 062323 (2002l]. It is fond, that the two ions develop in a two-mode mixed Gaussian entangle state if there exists a unidirecfional coupling from the first cavitv to the seecond one.

The interactions between a two-level atom and a coherent field with a time-varying frequency have been investigated. The two typical cases-the frequency of the field varying with time in the forms of sine and rectangle-have been considered. It is found that the collapse-revival phenomenta of the atomic population inveersion are defomed as th frequencychangfing with tiem in sine form and the rectangular frequency modulation can lead to some new collapses and new revivals in the evolution of the atomic population inversion.

Spontaneous emission of an atom with two close upper levels arid one lower level in a multilayer dielectric medium, and quantum interference between transitions form the upper leves to the lower one, are considered. Since the medium is inhomogeneous along the direction normal to tbe interfaces of the dielectric layers, the vancuum had an anisotropic spatial structure, and quantum interference between the two decay channels can appear even if the two dipole matrix elemeats are ortbogonal to each other. If the atom is pLaced in a three-layer dielectric plate cavity, a strong quantum interference interference similar to that for an atom with two nearly parallel dipole moments in free space arises due to the influence of anisotropic of anisotropic vacuum. Putting the atom in a three-layer dielectric waveguide and a one-dimensional photonic crystal, there appears a strong quantum interference similar to that for an atom with nearly antiparallel dipole moments.

The decay and radiation of an atom in a photonic crystal with an incomplete gap was investigated. If the transtition frequency is close to a band edge, the Weisskopf-Wigner approximation is not applicable and the decay is nonexponential. The decay could be greatly enhanced or decreased by the self-emitted field.

We investigate the spontaneous-emission properties of a two-level atom embedded in a three-dimensinal anaisotropic photonic crystal. In addition to the modified density of states, the atom is driven by a coherent intense lowfrequency field (LFF), which creates additional multihoton decay channels with the exchange of two low-frequency photons and one spontaneous photon during an atomic transition, Due to the ow frequency of the appliced field, the various transition pathways may interfere with each other and thus give rise to a modifeed system dynamics. We find that even if all the atomic(bare and induced) transition frequencies are in the conducting band of the photonic crystal, there still mya exist a photon-atom bound state in coexistence with propagating modes. the system also allows us to generate narrow linesin the spontaneous-emission spectrum. This spectrum is a funcion of the distance of the observer form the atom due to the band gap in the photonic crystal. The system properties depend on three characteristic frequencies, which are influenced by quantum interfernce effects. Thus these results can b attributed to a combination of interference and band-gap effects.
