肖金生,1962年2月生,男,湖南望城人。现任武汉理工大学汽车工程学院教授、博士生导师。1983年6月清华大学工程热物理专业本科毕业,获工学学士学位。1986年6月武汉水运工程学院船舶内燃机专业硕士研究生毕业,获工学硕士学位。1999年1月清华大学工程热物理专业博士研究生毕业,获工学博士学位。1989年1月晋升为讲师,1992年5月晋升为副教授,1996年10月晋升为教授,2000年开始任博士生导师。1994年被评为湖北省优秀教师,并获国务院政府特殊津贴,1995年被评为湖北省优秀青年教师,并被确定为学校跨世纪学术带头人培养对象,1997年获湖北省青年科技奖,1998年被确定为交通部跨世纪学术带头人培养对象。于1997年11月至1998年2月在英国伦敦大学玛丽皇后学院(Queen Mary, University of London)计算机科学系、1999年7月至8月在加拿大新布伦瑞克大学(University of New Brunswick)机械工程系、2000年9月至12月和2003年1月至6月在美国戴维斯加州大学(University of California, Davis)机械与航空工程系、2003年7月至10月和2007年9月至2008年3月在加拿大林产品研究院(FPInovation - Forintek)木材复合材料研究室、2008年3月至2009年3月和2009年7月至2010年9月以及2011年1月至今在加拿大三河城魁北克大学(University of Quebec at Trois-Rivieres)氢能研究所进行国际合作研究。1999年至2009年期间曾兼任武汉交通科技大学现代教育与信息中心主任、武汉理工大学教学督导办公室主任、图书馆馆长、档案馆馆长。目前主要研究方向为燃料电池及电动汽车的模拟与仿真、车用吸附储氢材料及系统的优化、太阳能与氢能等汽车新能源技术的应用。近期发表的主要论文如下:(1) Simulation of heat and mass transfer in activated carbon tank for hydrogen storage, International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, 35 (2010): 8106-8116. The air plasma spray (APS) technology is used to prepare WC/NiCrA1 and WC/NiCrBSi ceramic/metal composite wear protective coating on cast iron substrate, and the coating is measured for rnicrostmcture, microhardness, bond strength and slurry wear protective performance. and coating containing more WC is supreme than that containing less WC. Finally, wear mechanics and the principle of the coating's wear protective property are concluded, which are helpful for the design of wear protective coating.

The Ceramic/metal gradient thermal barrier Coating Design Software (CCDS) is developed for analyzing the heat transfer and the thermal stress in the coatings, and for designing the optimal coating schemes. The CCDS is developed according to software engineering methodology with Borland C builder 5.0 and has user friendly interface. it is composed of three functional modules preproccss module and post process module.initial data are input in the preproccss module, calculation of the temperature and thermal stress is carried out in the analysis module, and visualizatin is realized by the post proccss module. Calculation is carried out by analytical method. tinite difference method and finite element method. In addition, the CCDS is enhanced by attaching an optimization design module which completes optinization design for eeramic/metal gradient thernal barrier coatings by ANSYS Parameter Design language (APDL) or genetic algorithm. and an expert system module which may propose schemes and suggestions for coating design The CCDS is useful for the design of ceramic/metal gradient thenual battier coating.

Four Coating schemes and two substrate materials. i.e, 2Crl3 and 1Cr18Ni9Ti, are designed to evaluate the charaecteristics of the ceramic/metal gradient thermal barrier coating. For all the coating schemes, ZrO2 is used as ceramic and NiCr/Al as bond metal. The gradient coating is successfully prepared by plasma spray with single torch and single feeder. Tje coating and thermal residual stress, The coating micro-structure is observed by scanning electron microscope (SEM). Diffractive peaks for the gradient coating are got at different zone by X-ray spectroscopy (XRS). In the thermal shock test, the microstructure of the specimens is obscrved before and after the experiment, and cracks are found in the coatin post the experimetn. The thermal shock experiment shows that the thermal shock resistance property of the gradient coating is better than that of the non-gradient coating. The measurments of thermal residual stresses in different coating schemes are carried out by hole-drilling method. the results show that compressional stress resents on 1Cr18Ni9Ti substrate and tensile stress presents on 2Crl3 substrate.

The themomechanical stress analysis aims at the thermal and mechanical response of LPG vessel under high thempeature environment. It includes the ealculation of temperature field and stress field of LPG vessel. The finite elements analysis software ANSYS is used to calculate the temperature field. The themal boundary conditions of LPG vessel are determined according to the heat transfer theory and calculated by the software PLGS99. The transient stress of LPG vessel includes transient thermal stress and transient mechanical stress. The thermal stress is calulated by applying thermal load, and the mechanical stress is calculated by applying pressure load of the steam in the vessel. The total stress is obtaince by adding the thermal stress and the mechanical stress. The reults show that the maximum stress in the vessel appears near the highest surface where the liquid cal reach, that the maximum cquivalent thermal stress is much larger than the maximum equivalent mechanical stress. and that the temperature gradient in longitude direction is the main reason that leads to the failure of the vessel.

A kind of gradient thermal and environmental barrier coating (TBC-EBC) applied ininternal combustion engine is brought forward to improve its working reliability, emission behaviorand cconomical efficiency. The performance modeling for TBC-EBC is carried carried for heat transfer.thermal stress and calulytic reaction. The multi-layer plate model and multi-layer cylinder model areestablished for the simulations of heat transfer and thermal stress in the coatings. Both the theoreticalanalysis and the numerical analysis with multi-layer cylinder modek: are carried out and compared. lheanalysis results show good agreement. The reforming reaction model is also cstablished for catalylicperformance of the coatings based on kinetics choinical reaction and experiments

The thermal shock experiment is important measure to evaluate the themal shock resis-lhcrmal shock I-csis-trance of ceramic/metal gradient thermal barrier coatings Two substrate materials and four coatingschemes were adopted to make the specimens. Before and after the thermal shock experiments, themicrostructure of specimcens was obsecrvcd. The heat transfer and the associated thermal: stresses prodtuceedin the thermal. shock procedure were simulated by finitc clement softwarc ANSYS. The simulation resultshowcd that the gradient coating scheme is much hetter than layered coating schemes andd (2Crl 3 is moresuitable than ICr18Ni9ti is substrate material. The experiment, rosults demonstrated that the largethermal shock stresses; and the large thermal stress gradient are the main reaons of erack initiation and propagation The finite elemetn.simulation agree with the theormal shock experiment results.

The multi-layer ceramic/metal gradient cylinder model is useful for many cnginceringcanses. The heat transfer in the cylinder with coating inside is calculated by analytical method andfinite clement method. The thcrmal stress in a single layer gradient cylinder suffering, eventemperature and a multi-layer gladient cylinder with coating inside suffering uneven temperature isrespectively analzed finite difference method, finite element method and zonced-uniform method.The results show that finite clement method agrees well With analytical method in thc heat transferanalysis; finite difference method, Iinitc clement method and zoned-uniform method agrcc well witheach Other in the thermal stress analysis.

建立了一个燃料电池堆过气箱的维结构模型,应用计算流体的力学软件分析流场场。描述了空气箱中的典型流动,同时经讨论了影响空气箱内空气流动的主要因素。通过研究进气箱结构形状及尺寸对箱内空气流动的影响。发现来用合适的扩压型进口加流线型挡块可以使空气箱出口处空气流速地比较均匀。
