孙 勇,1950年5月出生。1976年毕业于西北大学地质学系岩石矿物学专业。1981年西北大学地质系构造地质学研究生毕业,获理学硕士学位,留校任教至今。现任西北大学校长、地质学教授、博士生导师、教育部科学技术委员会学部委员、高校地质学报编委长安大学兼职教授、西安市科协副主席、陕西省矿产协会常务理事、西安高新大学生物医药科技园董事长,陕西省政协常委。
任教期间,主要从事地质学基础教学,为本科生和研究生讲授过岩石学、矿床学、普通地质学、地球科学概论和岩石地球化学等课程。曾获霍英东教育基金会高等院校青年教师奖 (1990)。陕西省教学成果一等奖(1999);国家教学成果一等奖(2002)。
在科学研究方面,主要从事基础地质学中的“早前寒武纪地质”和“造山带形成演化”研究。先后参加或主持10余项省部级及国家自然科学基金项目(包括2项中外合作科研项目)。目前主持“大陆深俯冲作用”(国家“九七三项目”)二级课题“中国西部深俯冲探究”。 1988-1989年在原西德Mainz 大学从事有关华北地块早前寒武纪地壳组成和秦岭蛇绿岩合作科学研究。1992-1993年在加拿大Quebec大学作高访,进行全球大陆地壳成分研究。先后在国内外学术刊物独立或合作发表科研论文50余篇,专、译著3 部。
曾获国家自然科学二等奖(1999,排名第四)和教育部科技一等奖(1998,排名第四)。曾获部委级科技进步二等奖3 项和一等奖1 项(主要完成人)。获省高校科技奖3 项。获陕西省科协系统首届优秀科技工作者称号、陕西省有突出贡献专家称号。从1994 年10 月起享受国务院颁发的政府特殊津贴。 2003 年当选为陕西省政协常委。

侵入于涑水杂岩的变质基性岩脉具有2264±219Ma的Rb-sr等时年龄。源水杂岩的组成和主量、微量、稀土元素地球化学特征可与世界上太古代高级变质地体对比,反映早期陆壳受控于上地幔垂直对流的演化特征。

在出露地表的中、高压相麻粒岩地体代表下陆壳的认识基础上,建成全球麻粒岩相地 体地球化学成分数据库(共1685套分析数据)。利用IBM4381大型计算机对全部数据进行了多元变量统计分析,成功地建立了迄今为止精度最高的太古代、后太古代和全球大陆下地壳化学成分模型。

岩相学、岩石化学、矿物温压计和单颗粒锆石Pb—Pb年代学综合研究表明,出露于桐柏地区秦岭杂岩中的麻粒岩包体是在早古生代(470Ma)秦岭洋壳消减过程中,俯冲扳片在大约30-40km深度经受麻粒岩相变质(470-435Ma之间),随后其残片被花岗闪长质岩浆捕虏而上侵就位(435Ma)。古秦岭洋壳俯冲、变质、分熔乃至上侵这一系列构造过程鄯可以从麻粒岩包体研究结果甲得到理想的印证。

The result of researohes on the ophiolite complex which occurs discontinuously along the East Qinling belt suggests there might exist an mueient ocean between the Yangtze plate and the North China plate. Evidences of paleontology and isotopic age determination reveal that the ancient ocean developed during the early palaeozoic. The possible subsequent subduotion of the ocean floor led to conveJcgency of the Yangtze and the North China plates, accompanied by magmatism and metamorphism. However, the convergency of the two plates did not result in the final continent-centinent collision mountain-building. The Qinling Mountains formed during the Indosinian movement. The absence of Mesozoic ophtolite suggests that the Indosinian movement is an intra-continental orogeny.

原岩建造、变质和变形分析表明,二郎坪群(广义的或狭义的)系不同性质的岩片经构造拼集而成,不具有地层学意义,解体为大庙岩片、二郎坪蛇绿岩片和小寨岩片。重新厘定的二郎坪蛇绿岩片为特指原二郎坪群火神庙组火山一沉积岩系。该岩系由块状玄武岩、枕状玄武岩、席状岩墙或岩床构成,夹含放射虫硅质岩,形成于早古生代二郎坪蛇绿岩片中玄武岩和辉绿岩(岩墙)在地球化学上与正常洋中脊玄武岩(N-MORB)类似结合岩石组合和古生态分析,二郎坪蛇绿者片代表古大洋岩石圈残片侵入于二郎坪蛇绿岩片中的斜长花岗岩的形成时代(480Ma),可作为二郎坪蛇绿岩片构造侵位时代的上限。

An avelage chemical composition is proposed for gtanulite terrancs of the lower conffinental crust based on a data base of 1685 analyses of granulile filcics rocks Bolh Archean and Post-Archean granulitcs are included in the file. Disccrminant analysis was uscd to study possible compositional diflicrences between Archean and Post Archean granulitcs Results show no convincing difibrcncc between tile two age groups using major elements, thc REE or a combination of (K20. U. Th. Rb and Ba) however a combination of ((r, Ni, Zr, Nb, V and Co) is promising The main constraint is the limiled number of chcmical analyses which contain all the clcmcnts of each combination and the difficulty of evaluating the fundamental requiremcnts tor use of discrimffiant analysis which would permit more numerical methods of analyzing tile results to be applicd.

The Shushui Complex can be divided into three rock units based on field investigation, petrography and geochemistry: (1) felsic gneisses, (2) supracrustal rocks consisting of amphibolite, marble and quartzite, and (3) late granites. Of the complex, felsic gneisses are dominant and formed in the Late Archaean, which were intruded by a basic dyke with a whole-rock Rb-Sr isochron age of 2264+219 Ma. The data on rare-earth elements as well as on major and trace elements presented for most of the rock types making up the complex suggest that (1) basic gneisses were produced by partial melting of mantle peridotite, followed by fractional crystallization, and (2) felsic gneisses produced by varying degree of melting of a mafic source. The most suitable tectonic setting to account for the generation of both types would be similar to the underplate setting.

The analyses based on the protolith formation, metamorphic and deformation reveal that the Ertangping Group is composed of different lithological slices, without any significance in stratigraphy. It is therefore to discard the Erlangping Group into'the Damiao slab, the Erlangping ophiolitic slab and the Xiaozhai slab. The Erlangping ophiolitic slab only includes the former Huoshenmiao Formation and it is mainly composed of massive basalts, pillow baslts, sheet dikes, gabbro and a few of ultramafic intrusions with patches of plagiogranite, overlain by radiolarian silicolites. A lot of microfossils were discovered in the silicolites that mark the Erlangping ophiolitic slab mainly formed in the Early to Middle Ordovician. In geochemistry, most of the basalts and diabase dikes are consistent with N-MORB except a few of samples effected by "alteration. The Erlangping ophiolitic slab represents a remnant piece of ancient ocean crust which is most suitable to a back-arc basin setting. A mean 207Tpb/206Pb age of 480 Ma for zircons separated from the plagiogranite intruded into the basalts seems to indicate the minimum age of the emplacement of the Erlangping ophiolitic slab.

The Tongbai granulites are present mainly as xenoliths in granodioritic gneisses. The xenofiths with a zircon age of 470Ma are older than the host rocks of granodioritic gneisses which yield a zircon age of 435Ma. It is suggested that the granulites were transported from the lower crust to the upper level along with granodioritic magma. Geothermometrical and geobarometrical studies based on the coexisting minerals (Opx-Cpx and Opx-Gar) show that the granulites were crystallized at 818-840C and 9.5-9.8 x 108 P a corresponding to the lower crust. Tectonically, the Shangdan suture zone constitutes the boundary between the North China and Yangtze plates. The zone is char acterized by the occurrence of ophiolites in the western part and by that of granulites in the eastern part. So the western part marks the upper crustal level of the Qinling belt, while the eastern part represents the exposure of a deeper level. The results of isotopic dating and the geochemical character istics of the xenoliths are consistent with those of meta-tholeiites of the ophiolites in the western part. Therefore, it is assumed that both ophiolites found in the west and granulites tbund in the east all represent the remnants of the ancient Qinling ocean plate. The difference is that the ophiofites are pieces of obducted fragments from the ocean floor during the subduction in the Early Palaeozoic. However, in the-Tongbai area, when the ocean floor was subducting towards the lower crust, it underwent a granulite facies metamorphism. Subsequently, granodioritic magma formed by partial melting trapped some fragments of granulite upwards.
