张玉虎, 男,1962年2月生,博士。现任中国科学院近代物理研究所研究员,博士生导师。《高能物理与核物理》编委,《中国物理快报》特约评审。 1982年获复旦大学大学核物理专业理学学士学位,1985年获中国科学院(近代物理研究所)核物理专业理学硕士学位。1985年起在中国科学院近代物理研究所从事实验核物理研究,1987年由中国科学院选送赴法国学习,1990年获法国CAEN (Universite de CAEN)大学核物理与粒子物理博士学位。此后在法国国家加重粒子大加速器国家实验室(GANIL)、日本理化学研究所(RIKEN)、中国科学院近代物理研究所从事博士后研究工作。1997年起任中国科学院近代物理研究所研究员。
主要从事重离子实验核物理研究,研究方向为低能核反应、奇异核结构和高自旋态核结构实验研究。近年来在变形双奇核高自旋转动带结构特征、旋称反转方面进行了比较深入和系统的研究,并取得多项科研成果。参加了“973”、科技部、国家自然科学基金重点项目等多项科研任务。负责和完成了国家自然科学基金委和中科院多项科研课题,并在国内外核心刊物上撰写和发表了30余篇研究论文,论文得到了过国内外同行的多次引用。获2000年度国家杰出青年科学基金资助,2002年获国务院政府特殊津贴,2004年获甘肃省科技进步一等奖一项,2005年入选中科院“百人计划”。

The high-spin states of 157Yb have been studied via the 144Sm(16O, 3n) reaction at 16O energy of 90 MeV using techniques of in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy. Measurement of γ-γ-t coincidences was performed with 11 BGO (AC) HPGe detectors. Based on the measured results of γ-γ coincidences, γ-ray anisotropies and DCO ratios, the level scheme for 157Yb was established. The shape co-existence and structural evolution of the νi13/2 band with increasing angular momentum in 157Yb have been discussed. The systematics of the νi13/2 bands in the N=87 odd-A isotones have been compared.

High-spin states in doubly odd 170Re have been populated via the 142Nd(32S, p3nγ) reaction at beam energies of 155 and 166 MeV. K X-γ and γ-γ coincidences have been measured using a detector array consisting of 12 high-purity germanium detectors with BGO suppressors. A rotational band is identified and assigned to 170Re for the first time. This band is proposed to be built on the πh11/2⊗νi13/2 two-quasiparticle configuration by comparing the band properties with known bands in neighboring nuclei and the cranked-shell model calculations.

High-spin states in the odd-odd 172Re have been investigated via the 149Sm(27Al, 4nγ)172Re reaction through excitation functions, x-γ and γ-γ coincidence measurements. A level scheme consisting of three rotational bands has been identified for the first time extending the high-spin studies of A~160 odd-odd nuclei to the currently lightest rhenium isotope. The three bands have been assigned to be built on the πh11/2⊗νi13/2, πh9/2⊗νi13/2, and p1/2−[541]⊗ν1/2−[521] configurations according to their rotational properties in quasiparticle alignments, signature splitting, in-band B(M1)/B(E2) ratios, level spacing systematics, band crossing frequencies, as well as the existing knowledge in neighboring nuclei. Low-spin signature inversion has been confirmed in the first two bands due to the observation of signature crossing at high-spin states. The general features of inversion phenomenon in the semidecoupled bands are presented and discussed with reference to theoretical calculations of two quasiparticle plus rotor model including p-n interactions.

High spin states in 174Re have been investigated via the 152Sm (27Al, 5nγ) 174Re reaction. Gamma-ray excitation functions, x-γ and γ-γ coincidences have been measured. Two rotational bands built on the πh9=2⊗νi13=2 and πh11=2⊗νi13=2 con gurations have been identi ed and extended up to high-spin states. The relative spin and parity of the band levels have been unambiguously xed due to observations of several inter-band transitions. Both the bands show the low-spin signature inversion, which is consistent with systematic expectations for the high-j two-quasiparticle bands in the A=170 mass region.

An effort has been made to search for the decoupled bands in odd-odd 174Re via the 159Tb(20Ne, 5nγ)174Re reaction through excitation functions, K x-γ and γ-γ coincidence measurements. The doubly decoupled band and the semidecoupled one have been found in this work. Their quasiparticle conØgurations are proposed to be π1=2-[541]⊗ν1=2-[521] and π1=2-[541]⊗νi13=2, respectively, according to the characteristics of band structures in this mass region. Another band with strongly coupled character is also reported.

The low- and medium-spin states of the N=50 neutron-rich, 37 87Rb, 35 85Br, 34 84Se and 32 82Ge isotones have been populated in deep-inelastic processes produced by the interaction of 460 MeV 82Se ions with a 192Os target. The subsequent g decay has been investigated at the Laboratori Nazionali di Legnaro using the GASP g-ray detector array. The comparison of the experimentally observed excited states with shell-model calculations performed with and without neutron degrees of freedom has allowed the investigation of the role of the neutron-core breaking excitations and therefore of the N=50 shell gap. The inclusion of neutron configurations in the shell-model calculations results in an improved agreement between the experimental and calculated level energies at medium and high spin. These results highlight the considerable contribution of neutron-core particle-hole excitations across the N=50 shell gap to the level configurations. The overall agreement of the measured excited states with the shell-model predictions is indicative of the persistence of the N=50 shell gap down to Z=32.

High-spin states in 170Ta have been studied via 159Tb(16O, 5nγ)170Ta reaction through excitation functions, K x-γ, and γ-γ-t coincidence measurements. Three rotational bands have been identified which consist of two strongly coupled bands and a semidecoupled one. The quasiparticle configurations of these bands and the interpretation of experimental results are discussed based on the existing knowledge of neighboring odd-mass and odd-odd nuclei and in the framework of the cranked-shell model. Low-spin signature inversion in the π9/2-[514]⊗ν5/2+[642] and π1/2-[541]⊗ν5/2+[642] bands are discussed. A delay reduction of the band-crossing frequency is observed in the π1/2-[541]⊗ν5/2+[642] (π5/2+[402]⊗ν5/2-[642]) band. This configuration-dependent crossing frequency is discussed in comparison with the AB crossing frequencies in the related bands of neighboring odd-Z isotopes.

High-spin states in 190Tl have been studied experimentally by using the 160Gd(35Cl,5n) fusion-evaporation reaction at beam energies of 167 and 175 MeV. A rotational band built on the πh9/2⊗νi13/2 configuration with oblate deformation has been established for 190Tl. Spin values are assigned by adopting the results from α-γ decay work for 194Bi found in the literature.With the configuration and spin-parity assignments, the low-spin signature inversion has been revealed for the πh9/2⊗νi13/2 oblate band in 190Tl. It is the first experimental observation of low-spin signature inversion for a band associated with the oblate πh9/2⊗νi13/2 configuration. The low-spin signature inversion for the oblate πh9/2⊗νi13/2 band can be interpreted by the two-quasiparticle-plus-rotor model including a J-dependent p-n residual interaction.

High-spin states in the odd-odd 182Au nucleus have been investigated using the 152Sm (35Cl, 5nγ)182Au reaction through X-γ and γ-γ-t coincidence measurements. Rotational bands based on the πh9/2⊗νi13/2 and πi13/2⊗νi13/2 configurations have been identified. It is found that the two bands show characteristics of low-spin signature inversion. The observed signature inversion can be well reproduced by pairing-deformation self-consistent cranking Woods-Saxon calculations.

Excited states of 142Ce, populated in deep inelastic reactions of 82Se projectiles bombarding 139La target, have been studied up to medium spins using in-beam γ spectroscopy techniques. Three new levels have been identified at 2625, 2995, 3834 keV, and assigned as 8+, 9(−) and 11(−), respectively. These new yrast states follow closely the level systematics of the even mass N=84 isotones. Their strctures have been discussed with the help of empirical shell model calculations.
