柳卫平,教授,博士生导师。共同主持建成了我国第一个次级放射性核束实验装置,主持完成了利用2H(7Be,8B)n角分布测量太阳中微子天体物理S因子的研究工作,成果发表在知名物理杂志Physical Review Letter上,引起国内外较大反响。领导研究团队,开展了一系列重要学术意义放射性核束物理与核天体的国际前沿课题的研究,特别是利用放射性核束反应间接导出重要的核天体物理反应截面。近年来通过一系列国际水平的研究成果,在我国开创和发展了利用放射性核束进行核天体物理研究的新领域。研究成果获国家科技进步二等奖(1996年,排名第二)、香港求是科技基金会杰出青年学者奖(1996年)、国家留学回国人员成就奖(2003年)等奖励。获全国劳动模范(2005年)等荣誉称号。主持的7Be(d,n)8B太阳中微子反应研究成果被我国学术界评为96年我国基础研究十大新闻。

The angular distributions of the charge exchange reaction 1H(6He, 6Li)n were measured in reverse kinematics with a secondary 6He beam at the energy of 4.17AMeV. The data were analyzed in the context of a microscopic calculation. It is shown that both the ground state of 6He and the second excited state of 6Li (3.563 MeV, 0+) have halo structure.

The mass of 40Ti has been determined by using the isobaric multiplet mass equation method. The experimental data of the 40Ti β-decay were used to determine the level of the isospin analogue stateof 40Sc. The ground-state mass excess and the QEC value for 40Ti were determined to be 9060±12 ke V and 11 466±13 ke V, respectively.

By measuring positrons and b-delayed g-rays emitted from mass-separated sources, the decay of 56Cu 4q,T sy1,Ts1. z to states in the doubly-magic nucleus 56Ni was studied for the first time. The half-life of 56Cu was measured to be 78 15. ms, and four b-delayed g-rays were assigned to its decay. The resulting experimental data on Fermi and Gamow-Teller strength are compared with shell-model predictions. q1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.

Angular distribution of the 11C (d, n) 12N reaction at Ecm=9.8 MeV was measured in inverse kinematics with the secondary 11C beam. The experimental data were analyzed with DWBA calculations and thereby the asymptotic normalization coefficient, (C12Npeff)2=(C12Np1/2)2+(C12Np3/2)2, was extracted to be 2.86±0.91fm−1 for the virtual decay 12N→11C+p. The zero energy astrophysical S-factor for the direct capture 11C (p,γ) 12N reaction was then derived to be 0.157±0.050keVb. We have also estimated the contributions from resonant captures into the first-and second excited states of 12N and the interference between direct capture into the ground state and resonant capture into the second excited state. The temperature dependences of the direct capture, resonant capture and total reaction rates for 11C (p,γ) 12N were derived. The present work shows that the direct capture dominates the 11C (p,γ) 12N in the wide energy range of astrophysical interest except the ranges corresponding to two resonances.

This paper describes nuclear astrophysical studies using the unstable ion beam facility GIRAFFE. We measured the angular distributions for some low energy reactions, such as 7Be (d, n) 8B, 11C (d, n) 12N, 8Li (d, n) 9Be and 8Li (d, p) 9Li in inverse kinematics, and indirectly derived the astrophysical S-factors or reaction rates of 7Be (p, γ) 8B,11C (p, γ) 12N, 8Li (n, γ) 9Li at astrophysically relevant energies.

A secondary beam line (GIRAFFE) at the Beijing tandem accelerator lab was constructed for yielding low energy secondary beams. The current progress on the study of nuclear astrophysics and nuclear structure is presented. Up to now, we have carried out measurement of 7Be(d,n)8B, 11C(d,n)12N, 8Li(d,n)9Be and 6He(p,n)6Li reactions. The proposed Beijing radioactive nuclear beam facility and its current R&D progress are briefly introduced. This facility is based on the exist HI-13 tandem accelerator. A proton cyclotron will be built to provide 100 MeV 200 lA proton beam, together with an isotope separator on line system and a super-conducting heavy ion LINAC. The 8Li (n, γ) 9Li reaction plays an important role in both the r-process nucleosynthesis and the inhomogeneous big bang models. Its direct capture rates can be extracted from the 8Li (d,p) 9Li reaction, indirectly. We have measured the angular distribution of the 8Li (d,p) 9Lig.s. reaction at Ec.m.=7.8MeV in inverse kinematics using coincidence detection of 9Li and the recoil proton, for the first time. Based on distorted wave Born approximation (DWBA) analysis, the 8Li (d,p) 9Lig.s. cross sectionwas determined to be 7.9±2.0mb. The single particle spectroscopic factor S1,3/2 for the ground state of 9Li=8Li ⊗ n was derived to be 0.68±0.14, and then used to calculate the direct capture cross sections for the 8Li (n, γ) 9Lig.s. reaction at energies of astrophysical interest. The astrophysical 8Li (n, γ) 9Lig.s. reaction rate for the direct capture was found to be 3970 ± 950cm3 mole−1 s−1 at T9=1. This presents the first experimental constraint for the 8Li (n, γ) 9Li reaction rates of astrophysical relevance.

The β decay of 40Ti and 41Ti was studied by measuring the b-delayed proton and g emission. The half-lives for 40Ti and 41Ti were determined to be 54 (2) and 82 (3)ms, respectively. The experimental β-decay strengths are compared with shell-model calculations and results from other measurements. The integrated Gamow-Teller strengths for 40Ti and 41Ti were found to be quenched, compared to the calculations, by factors of 0.79 (3) and 0.93 (3), respectively. Based on the experimental 40Ti β-decay strength, the neutrino absorption cross section and induced neutrino event rates for 40Ar were determined to be 14.3 (3) 310243cm2 and 9.4 60.2 (stat) 21.6 11.3 (syst) SNU, respectively.

The β-decay of 40Ti was studied. The Fermi and Gamow-Teller strength function was deduced from the observed β-delayed emission of protons and γ-rays and from the measured half-life of 55(2) ms. The results are compared to shell-model predictions and are used to estimate the neutrinocapture rate of the solar-neutrino detector ICARUS.

using the 7Be beam generated by the radioactive nuclear beam facility at China Institute of Atomic Energy. The 8B ions were detected in full geometry with a two-dimensional position sensitive DE-E counter telescope. The reaction cross section was determined to be 58±8mb. The angular istribution data were analyzed with the distorted-wave Born approximation calculation. The astrophysical S17s0d factor for the 7Be (p, γ) 8B reaction was derived to be 27.4±4.4 eV b through the asymptotic normalization constant extracted from the experimental data
