摘要

In the LFMCW radar system, the echo signal of moving target with acceleration has Doppler aberration. It will cause target detection performance deterioration and parameter estimation loss. The Polynomial Phase Transform (PPT) only can estimate the single target acceleration in the same range cell. This paper presents a method, which modified the PPT algorithm to process the Doppler signal of multiple targets in the same range cell. It can accurately estimate the acceleration and velocity of multi-target and improve the detection performance with less calculating quantity.

摘要

Aiming at the influence of high acceleration modulation of LFMCW radar echo signal in the short range and high resolution applications on missile, satellite, and plane, we derived the expression of acceleration resolution for Linear FMCW (LFMCW) signal. It is concluded that the acceleration resolution is inversely proportional to the square of the effective time width. We also analyzed the influence on the Doppler resolution and time delay caused by the unknown acceleration. It is concluded that the increase of time width doesn't necessarily enhance the Doppler resolution because of the exist of acceleration, delay resolution decrease with the increase of unknown acceleration. Computer simulations justified these conclusions.

摘要

Aiming at solving the distance and velocity decouple problem for moving target in Linear FMCW (LFMCW) radar signal processing, a multiple repetition frequency waveform is adopted and a Doppler frequency cluster (DFS) algorithm is proposed, which is capable of recovering true velocity from the coupled velocity estimation directly. Aiming at solving resolution of multiple targets, a match algorithm based on mean square error is also proposed. The combination of the above two methods realizes distance and velocity decoupling for multiple moving targets. The result of simulation verified the effectiveness of the methods, the velocity estimate performance of DFS algorithm improve 2.5dB contrast to Chinese remainder theorem.

摘要

Aiming at the Doppler spectrum aberration and range-velocity coupling phenomena in accelerated moving environment for millimeter-wave short-range linear FMCW radar, a novel method is presented, which can estimate the target's acceleration, velocity and range effectively. The method can also compensate the Doppler signal with the estimated acceleration, solve Doppler aberration and range-velocity coupling, and improve the detection performance and parameter estimation precision of the accelerated targets. The method has less computation, and the arithmetic is solidity.
