In this paper, we study the harmonic map heat flow with free boundary from a Riemannian surface with smooth boundary into a compact Riemannian manifold. As a consequence, we get at least one disk-type minimal surface in a compact Riemannian manifold without minimal 2-sphere.

摘要

In this paper, we discuss some bifurcation on Nirenberg's problem. We give some natural conditions such that the standard bifurcation or Thorn-Mather theory can be used. Most interestingly, our conditions for the existence of solutions are very near to the Kazdan-Warner obstruction.
