摘要

ABSTRACT. In this note, we prove that whenever d is a compatible metric for a hedgehog space J having more than 2c spines, there exists ∈>0 and x ∈ J such that the family {Bd(y,E)∶y ∈ Bd(X, E)}contains more than c distinct sets. This result provides a negative answer to a question raised by Nagata in [6]. We also give positive answers to the same question under some extra conditions.
