摘要

ptica: flip-flop mcmory with scparalc scl and rcsct inputs is prcsntde. The flip-flop is realised from two coupted pokrisftion swicches. The comcept is explained and experimenal rcsults are pcesented that demonstrale that 2 contrast ratio of 20 dB and a switching power of <-3 dl3: n can be oblained. The all-optieal flip-flop can be utilised in all-optical packct swjtches.

摘要

In this letter, we show that optical packets can be routed in an optical fiber by using an optical threshold function that controls a wavelength converter switch. The optical threshold function is made from two coupled lasers. Experimental evidence is given.
