We study the solvability of the Cauchy problem (1.1)-(1.2) for the largest possible class of initial value, for which (1.1)-(1.2) has a local solution. Moreover, we also study the critical case related initial value u0 for 1 <p<∞.

In this paper, the nonstationary (time-dependent) boundary layer system (TDBLS) in Newtonian and Non-Newtonian flows is studied. There are some open problems in this field (see [1]). Using the method of parabolic regularization, the global existence of the weak solutions of TDBLS for the pseudo-plastic fluids is proved. The local existence of the weak solutions of TDBLS for the dilatable fluids is established. Finally, the uniqueness and stability of the weak solutions is discussed.

In this note the asymptotic behaviour of solutions up(x, t) as p→∞ for the Cauchy problem of p-Laplacian equations is considered. We show how this asymptotic behaviour is determined by the initial value.
