SrTiO3-Immobilization of Simulated HLW By SHS

Using chromium oxide (CrO3) as an oxidant, amples based Strontium Titanate (SrTiO3) synroc and model high-level wastes (Sr2+) were fabricated by the SHS-densification and tested. Sr2+ directly took part in the synthesis process. As a result, immobilization limitation issue is basically resolved. The results of PCT, XRD and SEM/EDS analysis show that the Strontium Titanate is high density, low leach rate and high property stability and the synthesis process is feasible in technology and economy. It is a durable material with high-level waste loading and is in favor for final geological disposal.
