VISUAL STUDY ON HYDRODYNAMICS OF THE CFB RIG USING PARTICLES WITH BROAD DISTRIBUTION1

The effect of particle distribution on hydrodynamics was studied on two-dimensioned CFB rig by the visual technology with CCD and image processing. The geometrical characteristics of clusters could be described by the parameters of sphericity, mean diameter and particle’s size distribution (PSD). The formula of flow state transition was made by the particle distribution width. The effect of particle distribution on flow state transition was analyzed. And the transition procession could be identified byimages.
