To accelerate burning, aluminum particle surfaces of a composite propellant are coated with a type of macromolecular surface-active agent, which forms impemeable shells during the combustion process. Aluminum particles are therefore rapidly and completexly bumt out by means of disruptive burining. Laser ignition experiments tentatively demonstrate the feasilility of the idea, and the results of T-bumer experimentt show that the residues on the tube wall of combustion chamber and percentage of large particles decrease significntly when using the coated aluminum particles in the solid propellant.
