This paper discusses the reaults obtaimed by computer sirnulated calibration of scale correction km and additive correction k, for ordinary infrared EDM instruments on 5 baselines of disfferent length(from 750m to 4, 9 km)using the so called six-scgmcnt comparison method. It is pointed out the obtained scale cottection is in many cases unstable. The attcmpt to obtain a correct sacle correction field calibration on ahort baselines is substantially irrational.
