摘要

在光纤WDM通信系统或WDM网络,渡长控制是十分必要的,本文讨论了使用法布里一珀洛(FP)揩振腔作为波长控制器件,在考虑频道间串扰的情况下,波长控制的计算理论,对一频道间隔200GHz,16路信道,调制码率为2.488Gb/s的WDM系统的波长控制精度问题进行了计算和比较。

摘要

In this paper we propose a new protocol called trine-space label switching protocol (TSL-SP) in optical burst switching (OBS), and define the terms time-space label (TSL) and time-space routing (TSR). An important concept of response time is introduced ha the trine label mechanism. The TSL-SP is a new technology that can quickly and efficiently forward data with a label on the optical networks. A two-dimension label switched path (TD-LSP) can be set up, that is maintained and deleted by the TSL-SP For clearly illuminating the operation principles of the TSL-SR we propose a new approach of orthogonal trine-space coordinates in which the vertical coordinate is the space label and the horizontal coordinate is the time label. The proposed TD-LSP can tramatically reduce the routing failure probability and greatly improve the link network efficiency compared with other signaling protocols. Moreover, we define the time-space label control plane that can achieve the higher efficiency. When the TSL-SP is applied to networks, switching performance can be improved by two orders compareal to the switching performance with the conventional OBS signaling protocols. The fundamental goal of TSL-SP is to band the signaling and routing functions together closely. Also, the TSL-SP can reduce the complexity of the network, support automatic service offering, and provide traffic engineering.

摘要

In this paper, we first present a full numerical simulation for the trapping and retrieval procedure of eight continuing "1" Guassian pulses (i.e., "11111111") in the electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) medium. This simulation shows that an EIT medium has the ability to store multiple light pulses in a shape-preserving way. And we also, for the first time, give the formula evaluating the maximum number of pulses that can be stored by an EIT medium at one time. This work reveals a new possible way to the reversible storage of the photonic information.

摘要

Numerical simulations of the trapping and the retrieval processes of three different types of single-pulse photonic packets in a medium with electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) are performed, and the simulation results for a single-Gaussian-pulse photonic packet correspond to the results of a recent well-known experiment. According to the simulation results, in spite of the fact that all three types of photonic packets, in general, experience a shape-preserving storage process, the single-Gaussian-pulse photonic packet suffers the least distortion. Also, based on our numerical simulation, we present, for the rst time to the best of our knowledge, a shape-and quantum-state-preserving propagation of a multiple-Gaussian-pulse photonic packet in a medium with EIT. According to the simulations, attainment of a quantum random access memory (RAM) for photonic packets is within the bounds of possibility.
