Mobile Satellite Communication System Based on General Smallsat Platforms1

This paper presents a summary description of a Mobile SatelliteCommunication System based on general Smallsat Platforms (MSCGSP). MSCGSPis a proposed system with communication and positioning functions, which willintegratively utilize satellites in GEO, MEO and LEO to provide 24-hour continuemobile communication and positioning and navigate services for all domestic regionof China (including sea area) and most of global region. A key concept of MSCGSPis the utilization of general small-satellite platforms (GSP).Technical Subject Satellite and Space Communication Analysis and Techniques.
