ANALYSIS OF ELECTROMAGNETIC SCATTERING FROM 3-DCONDUCTORS COATED WITH ANISOTROPIC INHOMOGEOUS MATERIALS USING THE FEM-FMA*

A fast hybrid method--hybridedge-element method and fast multipole algorithm(FEM-FMA) is presented to analyzeelectromagnetic scattering by three-dimensionalanisotropic inhomogeous objects in this paper. Thematrixes formed from FEM are symmetric and thefast multipole algorithm is applied to accelerate thetraditional method of moment. The accuracy andefficiency of the method are verified by 3-Dnmnerical examples.
