摘要

In this paper, we present a human-like nonphotorealistic rendering approach. A typical pi-ocess of how human engineers learn to paint technical illirsfration is as follows: At first 1he.v are trained on how to paint separate primitives such as cubes and spheres, and accordingly acciimirlate the empirical drawing principles arid skills during their continuous practices, and finally they can fieely express complicated shapes and engineering information in their illustrations by composing the related primitives' drawings. We manage to mimic this human-like approach by embedding established illirstration rules into prirnitives' lighting models and its drawing algorithms. and implement it in an illustration system-RE TOUCH.

研究了基于综合推理创建植物三维模型的方法选择了一种很典型的植物——树,研究面向特征综合的集成形状和语义的树表达模型,提供了综合形状和语义的三维树模型的生成方法,以及相应的模拟树四季形状变化的模型,同时,将上述方法和模型在树的综合生成实验系统中予以实现。

摘要

In this paper we discuss how to reconstruct 3D models from multi-view engineering draws by employing human engineers' approaches. Human's 'divide and conquer' interpretation strategy in visual cognition is simulated, and successfully carried out on the basis of spatial division of 3D object space. At first, a volume-oriented method is utilized to decompose the 3D object space in a set of 3D 'cell-boxes' whose three-view bounding rectangles will isolate its related sub-projections from input projections views, and in every cell-box a cell primitive is implied. Then, a 3D model of each cell primitive is 'locally' generated from its 'sub-projection' views by wire-frame oriented algorithms. The final interpretation result of the overall projection-views is a 'Union' of these cell primitives. To deal with the ambiguity, a visual reasoning engine is implemented on the basis of principles from Gestalt psychology. It will be activated to pick out the most reasonable interpretation, when ambiguities are generated during the reconstruction process. The section views are also incorporated in getting rid of the ambiguity. Moreover, we design a natural and convenient interaction way to encourage the user to be involved in the process while interpreting complex projections.
