【期刊论文】Embedding visual cognition in 3D reconstruction from multi-view engineering drawings

In this paper we discuss how to reconstruct 3D models from multi-view engineering draws by employing human engineers' approaches. Human's 'divide and conquer' interpretation strategy in visual cognition is simulated, and successfully carried out on the basis of spatial division of 3D object space. At first, a volume-oriented method is utilized to decompose the 3D object space in a set of 3D 'cell-boxes' whose three-view bounding rectangles will isolate its related sub-projections from input projections views, and in every cell-box a cell primitive is implied. Then, a 3D model of each cell primitive is 'locally' generated from its 'sub-projection' views by wire-frame oriented algorithms. The final interpretation result of the overall projection-views is a 'Union' of these cell primitives. To deal with the ambiguity, a visual reasoning engine is implemented on the basis of principles from Gestalt psychology. It will be activated to pick out the most reasonable interpretation, when ambiguities are generated during the reconstruction process. The section views are also incorporated in getting rid of the ambiguity. Moreover, we design a natural and convenient interaction way to encourage the user to be involved in the process while interpreting complex projections. DS方法作为一种重要的融合方法,已广泛应用于各种数据融合系统中。本文对基于DS方法的融合模型、DS方法的算法实现,以及DS方法的拓展等方面,进行了比较全面的论述。最后从数据融合角度对DS方法进行了简要的述评,并指出将DS方法与其它相关理论进行有机的结合是其主要发展趋势之一。

提出一种基于图像的虚拟景观漫游方法。该方法采用全景图和基于图像的动画来建立虚拟环境,用户通过实时图像处理浏览器,可以模拟这两种英武的漫游行为——环绕漫游和贯穿漫游,并且在风景旅游模拟系统(Virtual-Touring)中实现了这种方法。

In this paper we presents our effort towards the goal of perceptual user interface for major interaction tasks, such as navigation/travel, selection/picking and personal data access, in virtual shopping. A set of 3-D navigation devices, vision-based pointing and personal access system are mainly discussed. The motivation and design principles behind these interfaces are also described. A prototype integration solution, which brings these devices together in virtual shopping environment, is given. These interfaces and interaction devices have been implemented and tested for evaluation
