汤勇,博士、教授、博导。研究领域主要包括:光机电一体化和数字化装备、先进制造技术、微电子芯片散热及其新能源/高效节能技术,善于在微电子、新能源和环保等新兴学科进行交叉,且采用机理研究与相关产品开发同时进行的新研究模式。毕业后留校从事科研及教学工作,2003年12月破格晋升教授,2004年被批准为博士生导师。现任国家自然科学基金重点项目函评专家、国务院学位委员会第五届学科评议组广东高校专家、中国机械工业金属切削刀具技术协会切削先进技术研究分会常务理事及副秘书长、中国机械工程学会生产工程分会切削专业委员会委员、广东省学位委员会第三届学科评议组专家、广东省青年科学家会员、优秀中青年学术骨干。曾负责广东省科技攻关等项目的评审工作,每年均参与国家自然科学基金项目函评工作。
先后主持和完成国家自然科学基金项目5项(重点项目一项)、广东省自然科学基金项目3项(一项重点)、教育部骨干教师资助计划基金1项、广东省重点攻关项目2项、广州市重点攻关项目3项和广东省企业创新基金1项等。在《Journal of Materials Processing Technology》、《Advances in Materials Manufacturing Science and Technology》、《Key Engineering Materials》、《Transactions of Nonferrous Metals Society of China》、《中国机械工程》等国内外专业刊物或国际会议发表文章70余篇,SCI收录6篇次(第一作者5篇次),IE收录19篇次(第一作者10篇次)。申请实用新型和发明专利28项(第一发明人23项)(发明专利9项、实用新型专利19项),其中已授权17项(发明专利1项、实用新型专利16项)。
近期主要研究成果和方向包括:1、微电子热控制:针对复杂表面热功能结构多尺度和多维数效应、数字化描述及建模、可制造性分析及混合约束问题求解等科学问题,进行复杂表面功能结构热分析、数字建模及优化设计、间接约束生成机理等方面的研究。已经进行了三星笔记本热管散热系统的优化设计和ATI显卡散热系统的投标设计。2、车载制氢微反应系统:针对目前制约燃料电池车推广关键的氢源问题,采用微通道结构技术,研制出乙醇/甲醇制氢微反应系统,可以为燃料电池车提供充足的车载氢源,根本解决氢能源应用的关键难题。3、数字化装备及信息化:2004年主持完成广州地铁3号线过江隧道(南珠江和三枝香水道)江底水压力信息化监控系统,通过实时测量和相应软件进行图形处理,可直观描述江底水压变化和沉降量,预防盾构过程江底塌陷,为广州地铁盾构工程穿过江底提供了安全保障。2005年主持阳江新力信息化柔性自动装配线项目,达到国内领先水平,成为广东省阳江市装备信息化改造示范。

Based on analyzing the traditional process to manufacture fin heat sinks (FHS), the production of FHS by the planing process was proposed, the mechanism of the fins' curl was investigated and the fins' surface finish was analyzed. Through controlling chip curl based on the continuous strip chips, flat straight fins were processed. Compared with the traditional processes, this process makes full use of material and the processed FHS has better heat transfer capacity, higher heat transfer efficiency and more reliability. The ultrasonic welding is applied more and more extensively dus to its advantages such as environmental protection, cleaning and energy saving. By researching the mechanism on ultrasonic seam welding of copper plates and tubes for collecting solar energy, it is put forward that the ultrasonic metal welding process can be divided into two stages, and two factors make functions jointly to join the welded metal specimens. In order to successfully join the welding, three basic conditions must be satisfied, that is, there should be high frequency friction vibration in the contact interface; pressure must be imposed on the plate specimen during friction vibration; the time of friction vibration and pressure imposed should be proper. Furthermore, how to select the hardness of copper plate and tube and ultrasonic seam welding parameters is analyzed by experiments.

按单元结构相似的理论设计了蓄热材料相变传热的物理模型,采用焓法理论和有限差分法建立了一种求解此物理模型传热特性的三维数学模型。利用软件计算结果研究了纤维复合相变材料凝固过程中固/液界面的移动规律及其放热特性,并用摄影法和测温法对纤维相变材料的凝固特性进行了实验论证,其结果与理论计算结果吻合,从而证明了本文所提出的数学模型的正确性。为实用的纤维复合相变材料蓄热器的设计提供了指导性的数学工具。

The mechanism of pre-roll ploughing for 3D fins on the outside surface of copper tube was studied systematically, and especially the process and conditions of 3D fin formation were analyzed. The right mathematical model was also established. Based on the volume of fin ploughed out is equal to the volume of the metal extruded up by the extruding face of the tool, the relations between fin height, pre-roll ploughing feed and pre-roll ploughing depth have been achieved. With the increase of pre-roll ploughing depth which must be equal to groove depth, the pre-roll ploughing feed is the critical one, the height of fin is largest. And when the feed is above the critical one, the fin height will reduce with the increase of feed. The theoretical analysis basically accords with experimental results.

采用电阻法对超高速充液旋压内螺旋翅片铜管时全膜润滑临界条件进行了研究,利用旋压接触面之间的电阻变化,确定了形成全膜润滑的临界条件,同时对影响全膜润滑油膜形成的因素进行了分析。试验结果表明,全膜润滑油膜形成主要取决于旋压速度和润滑油特性,其中旋压速度是影响全膜润滑油膜能否形成的关键条件。全膜润滑形成对轴向拉力、扭转偏角和表面粗糙度值均有一定的影响,尤其对扭转偏角和表面粗糙度值的影响更大。

Owing to the present more stringent exhaust emission regulations, it becomes increasingly significant that the 3D fins on the surface of stainless steel strip used as the metal carrier of a catalytic converter is machined to improve substantially the effectiveness of the converter. Thus in this work, the mechanism of pre-roll ploughing on the surface of stainless steel strip was studied systematically, and especially the process and conditions of 3D fin formation were analyzed. Further, the proper mathematical model was established. Based on the volume of fin ploughed out being equal to the volume of the metal extruded up by the extruding face of the tool, the relation of the fin height, the distance of interval tools and the ploughing depth has been achieved. The distance of the interval of the tools has a great effect on fin height: with the increase of the distance of interval of the tools, the fin height gradually decreases. With the increase of ploughing depth (equal to groove depth), the fin height becomes larger. The theoretical analyses basically accords with experimental results. The conversion rate of a catalytic converter using a fin metal carrier is 12-15% higher than that of a catalytic converter using a smooth metal carrier of identical volume.

根据理论分析及实验观察,提出了电喷射加热器管内水被加热过程的模型。观察了不同喷射加热管出口处水流态,其中内螺旋翅片管内水流态呈螺旋状,而光壁管、直翅片管均沿轴线平行。试验结果表明:内螺旋翅片管制成的电喷射加热器出开水时间最快和出开水量最大,其次分别是直翅片管和光壁管。另外采用内螺旋翅片管制成电喷射加热器金属块温度最低,其次分别是直翅片管和光壁管。
