摘要

The purpose of this paper is to investigate generative and evolutionary design models by the new idea of co-evolution. Multi-objective optimization is our main concern. A dynamic co-evolution model is presented with detailed description of its application in eco-conscious housing design. Area and solar constraints of housing design problems are considered with maximum architectural area and solar illumination been optimized. We use dynamic niche models based on a fitness-sharing scheme to define energy and fitness functions for the co-evolution system. Early experimental data are presented and analyzed to show the effectiveness of this approach to evolutionary design optimization and its computational implementation of the algorithms.

摘要

The traditional particle swarm optimization technique is incorporated with multi-agent systems. A new PSO framework HMAS is presented with particles as agents. Actions and properties of agents are defined. We also present a test application in cluster analysis which extends the powerful algorithm CLARA and CLARANS. Implementation is given with experiment data. The results show that the new HMAS has better performance in searching the sample space than the non-agent systems.

摘要

This paper presents a new design optimization technique by artificial neural networks. Based on the theory of partial ordering and cones in Banach spaces, a new kind of neural networks with functional links is proposed. Learning algorithm lies heavily on the ordering structure of the sample space with an alternative feed-forward and backpropagation technique. Experiments are described with comparison with traditional functional link networks and wavelet networks.

摘要

In this paper, we study properties of the eigenfunctions of singular boundary value problems. The main results show that for a class of singular boundary value problems, the Sturmian oscillation theorem holds. It is a generalization of the standard case to the singular case.

摘要

This paper presents some existence results for a class of impulsive boundary value problems with nonhomogeneous boundary data on the half-line. By applying fixed-point theorems on cones, we obtain the existence of positive bounded and unbounded solutions. Our methods are integral equations, approximate solutions, a priori bounds and modified Arzela techniques.
