摘要

Proton irradiation at temperatures of 310 and 350℃ has been explored as a method of studying radiation effects in Zircaloy 4 under power-reactor conditions. The dislocation-loop and hardness evolution are similar to those observed under neutron irradiation. Amorphization and Fe loss at Zr(Cr,Fe)2 precipitates are observed. Energy-filtered images indicate Fe accumulation in the matrix near the precipitate, a phenomenon not reported in neutron-irradiated alloys.

摘要

A two-way shape memory effect (TWSME) spring that could elongate upon heating and contract upon cooling was obtained by constrained annealing and thermo-mechanical training. The effect of heat treatment and thermomechanical training on the TWSME and the effect of training on the transformation temperatures had been studied by elongation-temperature, electrical resistance measurements and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The TWSME recovery rate of extension spring increases with increasing the training cycles and increases to a saturation value. The inverse martensitic and martensitic temperatures decreased with increasing thermo-mechanical training cycles.

摘要

The characteristics of hydriding and hydrogen embrittlement of a TiAAlAZr alloy were evaluated by the impact test method. The results indicated that the hydrides in TiAAlAZr alloy formed as platelets and were identified as face-centered cubic d-hydride. At room temperature, the specimen showed great sensitivity to embrittlement in ductility by hydrogen. The hydrides formed promoted the crack propagation in the presence of stress, leading to the cleavage failure mode. The impact toughness decreased dramatically with increasing hydrogen concentrations, indicated that the critical hydrogen concentration required to embrittle the alloy might be lower than 300ppm.

摘要

The structural mechanisms of the hardening of a Ti-2Al-2.5Zr alloy by 75 keV nitrogen ion implantation with doses of 3310 and 17 2 8310 N/cm is investigated. The surface characterization of samples was studied by XPS, XRD and Vickers hardness tests. The results of XPS and XRD analysis show that TiN is formed in the surface region. Nitrogen implantation increases the surface hardness up to 340 17 17 2 and 260% for doses of 8310 and 3310N/cm, respectively, due to formation of TiN and irradiation-enhanced hardening.
