The novel flow chemiluminescence (CL) system for determination of pipemidic acid was proposed, which was based on the sensitizing effect of pipemidic acid on the CL oxidation of sulfite by KMnO4 in acid media. Combined with the technique of ultrafiltration, the flow-injection CL system was applied to study in vitro the bovine serum album (BSA) binding of pipemidic acid. The estimated association constant (K) and the number of the binding site (n) on one molecule of BSA were 8.81

A novel chemiluminscence (CL) flow-through sensor for pipemidic acid is described. It was based on the sensitizing effect of pipemidic acid on the CL oxidation of sulfite by sodium bismuthate in H2SO4 media. The solid-phase sodium bismuthate was mechanicially immobilized on the sponge rubber inside of the CL flow cell as CL oxidant. The calibration graph is linear in the range 0.1-10g/ml with a detection limit of 6.2×10−8g/ml (3σ). A complete analysis couldbe performedin 1 min with a relative standard deviation (R.S.D.) of 2.5% for 2g/ml pipemidic acid (n=8). This methodhas been successfully applied to determine pipemidic acid in pharmaceutical preparation.

A flow-injection chemiluminescence CL.biosensor for the determination of total D-amino acid is described in this paper. D-amino acid oxidase was immobilized onto amine-modified silica gel via glutaraldehyde activation and packed in a column. The other analytical reagents, including luminol and ferricyanide, were electrostatically co-immobilized on an anion-exchange column. D-amino acid was sensed by the CL reaction between hydrogen peroxide produced from the enzyme column and luminol and ferricyanide, which were eluted from the ion-exchange column through sodium phosphate injection. The linear range of D-alanine concentration is 1.1×10-6 to 1.1×10-4mol/l and the detection limit was 4.5×10-7mol/l (3σ). The proposed method has been successfully applied to the determination of D-amino acid in human serum.
